In 2024, Vietnam’s M&A market recorded a decline, however, a notable highlight was the significant rise in the role of domestic investors. Major deals continued to be maintained in key sectors such as Industrial, Financial Services, and Real Estate, demonstrating the confidence of strategic investors in leveraging the favorable valuation period to strengthen market positions.
While global economic volatility continues to pose headwinds, Vietnam’s M&A market demonstrates positive expectation, underpinned by political stability, a clear economic growth orientation with GDP growth target of over 8% by 2025.
Strategic deployment of public investment, particularly into key national infrastructure projects, is set to create ripple effects across industries, opening new M&A opportunities.
